Alta Heights Magnet School, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

The Alta Heights Neighborhood in Napa, was originally settled after the Great San Francisco Quake of 1906. Several Italian families moved to the northern part of Alta Heights, which later became known as Little Italy. Alta Heights is encircled by Coombsville Road and Third Street to the south, the Napa city boundary to the east, and Clark and East Avenues to the north. One can find architecture that is both diverse and attention-grabbing throughout the streets. Many residents enjoy far-reaching views of the City of Napa and yonder, due to its height off the valley floor.

Bel Aire, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

Prior to the 1950’s Bel Aire was predominantly agricultural fields and orchards. Today the Bel Aire Neighborhood is recognized by its still, tree-lined and wide residential streets, and lively commercial centers. The Bel Aire Plaza is home to Trader Joe’s, Target, Whole Foods, Orchards, Pier 1 Imports and a variety of other vendors. With easy freeway access, one could easily go south to the city or north for a day up-valley wine tasting. The Bel Aire Neighborhood is confined by Byway East and Harkness Street on the west, Trancas to the south, Jefferson to the east, and to Valencia Street on the north.

Browns Valley, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

Browns Valley Elementary is found in the Browns Valley South Neighborhood. It is known for its friendly sociable neighborhood families and parks. Browns Valley originally began as a portion of a large valley of farms with orchards and prunes until the first housing development began  in the 50’s and continued in to the 60’s and 70’s. Currently, residents enjoy views of rolling hills, pastures and vineyards that engulf the area. The Browns Valley South Neighborhood is confined on the west to Tall Grass Court and to the south by the City of Napa limit.

Canyon Oaks, American Canyon (K-5 Enrollment)

Canyon Oaks Elementary can be found in The Napa Glen Neighborhood on the western end of American Canyon, southeast to American Canyon Middle School. Most of the homes were built in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Donaldson Way, American Canyon (K-5 Enrollment)

Donaldson Way Elementary can be found in The Napa Glen Neighborhood on the western end of American Canyon, southeast to American Canyon Middle School. Most of the homes were built in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

El Centro, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

El Centro Elementary is found in the Springwood Estates Neighborhood. Like, Bel Aire and Browns Valley Neighborhoods, Springwood was home to orchards in times past. Springwood Estates anchors the north and east boundaries of the City of Napa. Many of the northern and eastern residences back right up to vineyards, enjoying sweeping valley views of vineyards from the valley floor.

McPherson, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

McPherson Elementary school is found in the northeast section of the McPherson Neighborhood. Encompassed by Pueblo Avenue to the north, Lincoln Avenue to the south, Jefferson to the east and Highway 29 to the west. McPherson is a combination of residential areas and commercial strips that run along Lincoln and Jefferson Avenues. McPherson is also, home to Napa High, Memorial Stadium and the Napa Unified School District Offices.

Mt. George, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

Mt. George Elementary school is found just to the east of the Terrace and Alta Heights Neighborhoods. Found in an area commonly referred to as “The Avenues.” Not an area tourists will typically see, but you may see a lot of bicyclists and runners enjoying the views of vineyards along the windy and hilly roads.

Napa Junction, American Canyon (K-5 Enrollment)

Napa Junction Elementary is found south to The Rancho Del Mar Neighborhood. The neighborhood is divided between the east and west, where the east is closest to Highway 29. The homes here were built in the 1950’s and are mostly in the Ranch style. The west side of Rancho Del Mar has newer homes built in the 1990’s and model after the Mediterranean look with Adobe-style walls and red-tiled roofs.

Napa Valley Language Academy (Charter School), Napa (K-6 Enrollment)

The Napa Valley Language Academy is found in the Westwood Neighborhood, originally part of a large valley of farms consisting of orchards and prunes. Westwood Hills Park, known for its large and hilly terrain can be found in Westwood, along with plenty of shopping at the Napa Premium Outlets. Many of the homes in Westwood were built in the 1950’s by a local Napa building family, the Devita’s. The Westwood Neighborhood is confined to the west by the City of Napa limit line, to the east by Highway 29, to the north by First Street and to the south by Old Sonoma Road.

Northwood, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

Northwood Elementary is found in the Linda Vista Neighborhood of north Napa.  It is encompassed on the west by the City of Napa limit line, to the south by Redwood Road, the north by Trower Avenue, and to the east by Highway 29. It is comprised of residential and commercial use with Redwood Middle School found in the center.

Phillips Charter School, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

Phillips Charter School is found in the Shurtleff Neighborhood. It is predominantly residential with planned communities, apartment complexes and single family homes with a small amount of commercial use bordering the southern edge. Camille and Shurtleff parks found within its borders Imola Avenue borders the neighborhood to the south, Silverado Trail to the west, the City of Napa limit line to the east, and Tulocay Creek to the north. Just beyond the Shurtleff boundary to the south is home to the Napa State Hospital and has been opened since 1876.

Pueblo Vista, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

Pueblo Vista Elementary is found in the Pueblo Park Neighborhood of Napa. While the neighborhood is predominantly residential a large portion is unincorporated County of Napa. West Park Elementary School is also, found within the borders of the Pueblo Park Neighborhood and a large shopping center on the north-eastern corner. It is bounded on the west and south sides by the Napa Creek, Highway 29 to the east, and Redwood Road to the north.

Salvador, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

Salvador Elementary School is found in the Springwood Estates Neighborhood of Napa. While El Centro elementary is found in the south eastern portion of the boundary, Salvador is found in the north western portion of the neighborhood boundary. Springwood was home to orchards in times past. Springwood Estates anchors the north and east boundaries of the City of Napa. Shearer Charter School, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

Shearer Charter School is found in the Fuller Park Neighborhood of Napa. Originally settled in the mid-1800’s, just before the city of Napa incorporated. Primarily a residential neighborhood with architectural variety. Many homes in the Fuller Neighborhood are a part of the National Register of Historic Places. Fuller Park also, hosts many of Napa’s County offices, including the Napa County Juvenile Justice Center and Health and Human Services, in addition to one of the city’s major parks’, Fuller.The neighborhood is confined on the west by Highway 29, to the south by West Imola Avenue, and the east by Franklin Street.

Snow, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

Irene M. Snow Elementary is found within the boundaries of the Coventry Manor Neighborhood. The area hosts the Stewart Dairy and Ranch, bought by the Stewart Family in 1904 and has been family owned and operated ever since. Also, known for its “Oreo” cows, formally known as Belted Galloway’s. Coventry Manor is also, known for a development on the northern end of the quadrant, known as the “state streets.” Residents of the Coventry Manor Neighborhood may enjoy surrounding pastures and beautiful views of the western hills. Vichy, Napa (K-5 Enrollment)

Vichy Elementary is found on the east side of the Alta Heights Neighborhood and commonly referred to as “The East Side.” Surrounded by several vineyards including Carrefour, Krupp Brothers and Del Dotto not too far away. Monticello Road is just north of Vichy and leads to the Circle Oaks subdivision as well as, Lake Berryessa. The Silverado Country Club is also, to the north of the east side just on the other side of Monticello Road.

West Park Elementary is found in the Pueblo Park Neighborhood, along with Pueblo Vista elementary School. While the neighborhood is predominantly residential a large portion is unincorporated County of Napa. A large shopping center can be found on the north-eastern corner of the boundary lines. It is bounded on the west and south sides by the Napa Creek, Highway 29 to the east, and Redwood Road to the north.

The town of Yountville is home to 2,933 residents. It is located in the heart of Napa Valley wine country. Yountville maintains a small town lifestyle while hosting numerous premium restaurants, hotels, inns and spas with a sophisticated ambiance. It is home to the Veterans Home of California with a public 9-hole golf course next door.

New Technology High School can be found within the boundaries of The Central Napa Neighborhood. It is known for the Alphabet Streets in the northwest area of the boundary. Several main arteries lead to the Downtown Neighborhood from central Napa. The Napa Creek is also, most prominent in the Central Neighborhood. Vintage High School can be found in The Vintage Neighborhood. Prior to its development in the fifties, The Vintage Neighborhood was comprised of orchards and agricultural fields. It also, hosts Queen of the Valley Medical Center, Garfield Little League park, and a strip of commercial businesses along Trancas Avenue. Trancas Avenue also, marks the boundary line to the south end and Jefferson Street to the west. Many residents may enjoy views of surrounding vineyards and the eastern mountains.
